Information about the three archdiocesan requirements: Protecting God’s children (PGC), code of conduct, and CORI form.
Protecting God’s Children Training (PGC):
Required before volunteering at a parish (whether as a lector, religious ed teacher, etc.), PGC is a one-time training that lasts three hours, at most. Attendees earn a certificate that qualifies for any work/volunteering in any Catholic parish. The session is about recognizing and preventing child abuse, a relevant issue to our times that is sensitively and meaningfully addressed in two videos viewed by attendees.
